The MOD-POE board injects the necessary power supply in the UTP LAN cable, so that the PIC-MICRO-WEB can take power and Ethernet from same cable.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The MOD-POE doesn't follow the recommendations set by the IEEE 802.3af-2003 standard. This board is an "inhouse" injector. MOD-POE is not compatible with MOD-POE-V2 extractor (because it can't provide enough voltage).
