Title: Olimexino 328 programming with ISP ?
Post by: kermit on June 18, 2013, 11:32:42 PM
I want to use the Olimexino328 board without using the Arduino Libraries.
So I would like to program it only with ISP via AVR Studio 4 and STK500 or AVR-ISP-MK2 from Olimex.
Is this possible ?

Hello kermit,

Yes. AVR Studio 4 and both Olimex STK500 and AVR-ISP-MK2 programmers work together. However note that AVR-ISP-MK2 has only 10-pin ICSP connector (and OLIMEXINO-328 has 6 ICSP pin holes) which would require to make and adapter cable 10-pin to 6-pin. Both designs are capable of programming OLIMEXINO-328.

You would also need to provide jumper cables OR mount own connector (2x3) on the ICSP pin holes, so the physical connection is possible.

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX

Thank you for your information, I supposed it could work, but was not sure.
