Title: Kernel Messages to LCD - Jessie official image
Post by: BMK on November 18, 2015, 02:40:24 PM

With A20 Debian 7 official image I was able to do this:

https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=599.msg3105#msg3105

Then I could see kernel messages on LCD, really useful to see problems at boot.

Since changing to latest official debian 8 image i can no longer do this

any ideas?

How do look the kernel parameters? (try cat /proc/cmdline to see them). Is it there someting like console=/dev/tty1 (console is the frammebuffer - you can see the messages) or something like console=/dev/ttyS0? (console is the UART, no messages displayed). And what about the parameter quiet? (supperss kernel messages).
