Title: MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2
Post by: chip@dlssolutions.com on June 10, 2016, 04:25:37 PM
I have been using the jtag debugger with a MSPF4152 on Windows 7.  We now have a new board using the MSP430G2755.  Is this processor supported by this debugger ?  I can not get it to work.  We probably have a hardware problem since it is a new board, but wanted to confirm the support for it.  Software is being developed using IAR work bench.
Thanks in advance.

Possibly IAR will need to be told something - ask them.

If TI didn't foul up the JTAG then it'll work, subject to such changes if needed.

(Obviously you need to use an appropriate voltage etc for the hardware.)

MSP430G2755 is not supported. The MSP430Gxx families supported are MSP430G2xx2 and MSP430G2xx3.

The list of supported targets might be found here: https://www.olimex.com/Products/MSP430/JTAG/_resources/tiny-v2-supported-mcus.txt
