Title: MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 for MSP430G2230 with CCS 6
Post by: mbhdev on June 13, 2016, 08:55:29 PM
I'm trying to set up my MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 for use with TI's Code Composer Studio 6.1.3 to program and debug an MSP430G2230.  I installed the drivers for Windows without issues and then followed the instructions for CCS v4 (backing up TI's MSP430.dll before replacing it with Olimex's version), and when I try to use the debugger, I get the error message: "Unable to locate entry point for MSP430_EEM_SetClockControl2" .  Is this function something that CCS 6 started using that hasn't been implemented in the Olimex driver yet, or is something else going wrong?  Thanks.

MSP430G2230 is not supported by the firmware of MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2. The only MSP430Gxx families supported are MSP430G2xx2 and MSP430G2xx3.

The list of supported targets might be found here: https://www.olimex.com/Products/MSP430/JTAG/_resources/tiny-v2-supported-mcus.txt
