Power iMX233-OLinuXino-MINI with 5V

Can the iMX233-OLinuXino-MINI be powered with 5V through for example the +5V ext on the GPIO header?

Reading the schematics I think this should be possible by cutting the 5V_E jumper.

Hello SevenW,

Yes, it is possible to power the board from CON1 or CON2 providing 5V on +5VEXT. You don't have to cut 5V_E jumper but it is good practice if you do since if you don't cut it and you forget to disconnect the power supply provided on the PWR_JACK - this might lead to short circuit (two supplies meeting).
