Hi,

i downloaded android4.2 img file from this link:

i fallow this link  to flash in to sdcard(through phoenix suit).

https://www.olimex.com/wiki/A20-OLinuXino-MICRO

which is working fine.

With same image file ,i fallowed procedure in the link:

http://linux-sunxi.org/Boot_Android_from_SdCard#Extract_file_from_Android_Image.

but getting hanged at boot log.

sometimes it is repeated execution of services. and sometimes kernel panic error.

[   21.985909] init: waitpid returned pid 1509, status = 00000009
[   21.986200] init: Created socket '/dev/socket/zygote' with mode '660', user '0', group '1000'
[   22.002237] init: untracked pid 1509 exited
[   22.789111] ------------[ cut here ]------------
[   22.794328] kernel BUG at include/linux/mm.h:792!
[   22.799609] Internal error: Oops - BUG: 0 [#1] PREEMPT SMP ARM

Is that image designed for the board you're using?

If no, that's your problem.

Hi John,

Hi guys,

i got the same experience with my A20 board on Android. It seems that android is very unstable on this board. Sometimes it hangs after certain minutes (screen freeze with little sprites on it, no reaction to any input) or it boots up with a freeze.

I don`t know how to fix this. I also got no Usb devices connected that may incompatible with android.

I flashed this image A20_SD_android_422_Phoenix_TS_USB_UART_I2C_WIFI_LAN_HDMI_LCD_800x480_release_1.img on micro SD what I've found on the official OLIMEX wiki page.

Any help?

Where is it on Olimex wiki?  Search finds nothing by that name.

https://www.olimex.com/wiki/A20-OLinuXino-MICRO#Android there are two links. One is for the NAND Version of A20 Board and the other is for the SD Card.

Greetings  ;)

A13 means only the A13 Touchscreens, so olimex didn't made different TS for A20. But these links are for A20 board with A13 Touchscreens. They are linked to https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-bAEPML8fwlUFd5OHVOaFJIRmc/edit for A20 board with A13 7" TS SD-Card Image or to https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-bAEPML8fwlc1F6TkNIcmlWcjQ/edit for A20 board with A13 10" TS SD-Card Image.

A20 probably needs something different, it's a dual CPU and look at the error.

Are you using the right U-boot and so on?  Something like that is clearly wrong.

rzr

isnt A20_SD_android_422_Phoenix_TS_USB_UART_I2C_WIFI_LAN_HDMI_LCD_800x480_release_1.img 509M file
for OLinuXino-A20 ?

what format is it ? parted does not list partitions (msdos or gpt?)
