A13-SOM-LTE question about supply

I want to use an A13-SOM board with an A13-SOM-LTE board and a webcam plugged on the mini USB.

I think power the two boards from an external 5V 1A regulated power supply connected directly to the 5V pin on the LTE board.

Is that in these conditions the battery can be recharged?  Or the battery can be only charged with a power supply connected on mini USB?

Is the battery required for LTE operation from the moment I supplies constantly the boards with external regulated 5V 1A?

The battery gets charged through the 5V  external,don't understand why you think it would only work via the mini USB, the preferred way to power the boards is via the 5V pin, you only have to check if 1A is enough to power everything
