Reading the A20 datasheet it looks like there is a lot of functionality in the audio codec, specifically ability to mix and route audio.  There are mux controls displayed in alsamixer on the standard olimex debian images, but their operation is not clearly documented anywhere that I can find and they don't seem to work properly. I guess there is someone in suxi-commumity that is the guru for this and I have asked on IRC to no avail.

I want to achieve one simple thing which is to route linein simultaneously to the adc and the hpout. I know o could route the audio through software but I want to do it in the hardware, using the routing circuitry  built in the audio codec.
Any ideas, Has anybody any experience of this?

If you manage to have it work, please give me a heads up, I would also like to do the same, but on android. ie. have fmin and linein routed to lineout

I vaguely remember seeing information about the audio codec on linux-sunxi, ie the muxes and all, you should have a look if you haven't already
