Hi there,

I am new here, so it would be good if someone from Olimex could verify this:

I would like to report an error of the manual of the Olimexino 328 on page 13.

The manual states that you should apply between 6 and 16 V to the power jack connector. This can be done of course, but as the 328 can take up to 30 V according to page 5, you should be able to apply up to 30 V to this very power jack. Is this correct?

Study of the circuit diagram on page 19 (it says: 9 to 30 V) and looking up the data sheet of the MC33063ADR regulator seems to confirm this.

Could you supply 30 VDC to the VIN pin alternatively?

I would be very grateful about a short answer.

Indeed, there was an error in the manual. It is now fixed. Feel free to use up to 30V DC to power the OLIMEXINO-328.

<<< This can be done of course, but as the 328 can take up to 30 V according to page 5, you should be able to apply up to 30 V to this very power jack. Is this correct?

- Yes.

<<< Could you supply 30 VDC to the VIN pin alternatively?

- Yes. Just note that the schottky diode 1N5819S would protect the board from wrong polarity only if you power the board via the power jack. When you power the board using the VIN pin, the schottky diode is excluded.

Thank you for the clarification.
Also there was some discussion in the forum that the power jack is a 2 mm one (not a 2,5 mm one).
Cheers.
