I have 2 questions related to the MOD-RFID1356MIFARE:

1.) Does MOD-RFID1356MIFARE support reading the EEPROM of MIFARE Ultralight keys/cards in the USB-CDC mode with the "er" command?

2.) Currently, we have to press the Button for atleast 2 seconds to change the mode to USB-HID, USB-CDC or UART. Is it possible to permanently set this product to the USB-CDC mode (without having to press the button).

Thanks for the reply.

Hi,

from my experience, the last setting set by the button press remains after power off/on.
The tweak would be to set the desired mode and desolder switch or -maybe-:
* give a small amount of glue gun glue over the button to prevent it from being pressed again :o

Olimex, please add firmware support for ISO/IEC 14443 UID (4, 7, 11? Byte) reading for all NXP PN532 compatible cards on all interfaces.

For OLinuXino boards I find UART most convenient.

Example Mifare Desfire EV1 cards support UID/serial number:

The unique 7 byte (UID) is programmed into
a locked part of the NV memory which is
reserved for the manufacturer. Due to security and system requirements these bytes are
write-protected after being programmed by
the IC manufacturer at production time.

According to ISO/IEC 14443-3 during the first anti-collision loop the cascade
tag returns a value of 88h and also the first
3 bytes of the UID, UID0 to UID2 and BCC.
The second anti-collisio
n loop returns bytes UID3 to UID6 and BCC.
UID0 holds the manufacturer ID for NXP (04h) according to ISO/IEC 14443-3 and
ISO/IEC 7816-6 AMD 1.

Thank you.

The MIFARE Ultralight card reading is supported since version 1.0.3 of its software.
