I just received a ESP32-POE.
I connect the board to a windows PC using an USB cable. Ethernet port isn't connected. I expect a detection of new USB device by the PC, so that i can provide the right driver and get a COM port. But nothing occurs. I change the cable and the PC. No change.
The only feedback at the board level is a red led.
Any Idea ?

Hello,

The USB drivers might be missing somehow. Please install the CH340T drivers for your operating system. For Windows the drivers are inside this archive:

https://www.olimex.com/Products/Breadboarding/BB-CH340T/resources/CH341SER.zip - run the SETUP.exe inside the "CH341SER" folder.

Is the device visible in "Windows Device Manager" after the driver installation?

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
The cause of my issue was the USB cable.  Unfortunately, my second USB cable was also wrong .... But with a third one,  it's OK. My first two USB cables provide only power !
Best regards
