Olimex MSP430 programmer

Hello!

I am currently using your MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 with your own Olimex MSP430 programmer and I am programming a MSP430F5438 and it works just fine . However later in my design I am going to program a MSP430F5506 and this one does not show up in the list of processors to choose from in your program. How will I be able to program the MSP430f5506 using your program and your debugger?

Hey Mikael,

Glad the debugger and the Olimex MSP430 programmer software are working fine for you!

The good news is that MSP430F5506 is supported by the TINY-V2 driver. The only thing you have to do is to define it in the Olimex programmer configuration file "olidev.ini". You would also need to define the memory regions. These regions might be found in the MSP430F5506 datasheet in the memory organization table.
