Hello,

I'm trying to assemble a system with one usb hard disk, a webcam and a wifi card. Previously I've been running a program to take pictures, and save them to disk. From time to time I plugged a USB memory disc in that system to retrieve the pictures. This program was running on a PC and there it worked fine. The problem arised when I tryed to run the program in an Olinuxino A13 Micro. Everything works fine with the exception of the copy of the pictures to the USB memory which usually ends reseting the USB hub and disconecting all devices.

I've tryed the kernels 3.0.62 and 3.4.29. Then I tryed a different USB hub. And then I tryed ferrites in all usb and power cables, but the system continues hanging.

Has any of you had any similar problem? Could you help?

The messages I get are of the kind:
Apr 23 14:12:03 localhost kernel: [ 8288.440744] hub 4-1:1.0: cannot reset port 5 (err = -110)
Apr 23 14:12:03 localhost kernel: [ 8288.440749] hub 4-1:1.0: Cannot enable port 5.  Maybe the USB cable is bad?
Apr 23 14:12:04 localhost kernel: [ 8289.449823] hub 4-1:1.0: cannot disable port 5 (err = -110)

Is your USB hub powered? what is the power supply that you are using? test with another with more juice

Yes, all the usb hubs I tested with are all powered. I powered the board with the first power supply channel and the USB hub with the second one. When the board is copying from the first hard disk to the second one. The board channel is draining 350mA@5V and the USB channel is draining 1150mA[+-100mA]@5V. I also noticed that when I connect a FTDI serial converter the problem reproduces faster.
