LAN8710A instead of RTL8211CL on A20 SOM backplane

We are designing a backplane for the A20-SOM but we are unable to get RTL8211CL IC, but we can get the Microchip LAN8710A.

is the LAN8710A Ethernet chipset supported by the Olimex A20 debian image for the A20-SOM ?

Does anyone know if there are any backlpanes already done for these with a Microchip LAN chipset ?
