Hello everyone! I attempted to utilize a charger with a dc output of 19V/4.74A from Walmart but I think it might be too much for the A20-OLinuXino-LIME2.

Is there a recommended range/specification to look for when purchasing a power supply for the device?

Thank you so much for any feedback you can provide.

19V probably killed the board if you connected it to the board. A20-OLinuXino-LIME2 gets powered by 5V DC, and only by 5V DC. Amperage should be above 1A, anything above 1A is fine.

Maybe it can be repaired since there is protection diode on the input. If you carefully remove D3 (unsolder). Then try powering by 5V DC. If it works, replace D3 with new one it is SMBJ6.0A (else if similar fault occurs in future the damage would be more severe and more expensive to repair).

This is mentioned on multiple places.
