Using open source PCB

Hello,

Given the case that we wanted to produce one of your open source PCBs commmercially, should we delete the name of Olimex from the Silkscreen layer?

Which open-hardware design exactly? What is the license for it? Different boards were released under different licenses. Some require attribution. Some require your design to also be open-hardware. Even if it doesn't require attribution it is good idea to have attribution somewhere since your customers might recognize it is an Olimex-original design anyway and it will look funny.

I can tell you more if I know the exact design your are interested in.

It's ESP32-Gateway.
I see in Github it's permited Commercial use, Modification, Distribution, Patent use, Private use
We are producing a device in wich we include that board. It was designed for small batches but now our customer is asking for a huge order and asked the PCB asembly near their location.
We won't change anything, maybe we reduce the components mounted as the SD is not used but not a redesign, and for me it is ok that Olimex is printed or not in the board but I see that Trademark use is not permited, so I guess we should remove the marking.
I asked to be sure.

Yes, just modify the labels that are trademark and also might confuse the customers thinking the board was manufactured by Olimex (the Olimex logos on top and bottom, the link to the web-site, the name of the board ESP32-GATEWAY again on top and bottom). Of course if you don't publish your sources you need to remove the open hardware logo. That would be much appreciated.

It is not required to add any attribution. Speaking from experience tho it is also a good idea to have attribution somewhere either on the board or in your documentation or somewhere. A small clarification "Based on ESP32-GATEWAY design from Olimex" or similar, this might help people find more info if they encounter problem and also avoid unsubstantiated claims of plagiarism (there is no plagiarism here of course).
