Energy saving mode

Hello,

I want to use Olinuxino Maxi in a battery powered application.
I don't need that the system is always in activity but I need a quick response to activation event, I can't wait all the bot process.
Is it possible to put in standby the cpu in order to be ready in few seconds?

Is it possible also to switch on/off power to every usb port?

I'm currently using 2.6 kernel, I've noticed kernel 3.7 is not supporting audio and video yet.
